Lotus is a chain hypermarket from Thailand and they owned 76 stores in China by the end of 2008. On April 15-30, ASMI China, along with Lotus, brought forward an Alaska Seafood Festival in eight Lotus outlets in Guangdong. Since it was the first time for ASMI China and Lotus in Guangdong to cooperate with each other, both sides worked hand-in-hand for the activity. During the period of activity, promoters and product sampling were arranged, to provide consumers an experience of premium quality Alaska seafood. Consumers were impressed by the quality and tenderness after tasting the samples. With the explanation of the promotion staffs, consumers got more information about quality Alaska seafood and stated that they would like to buy them. The promoted Alaska seafood included chum salmon, turbot, Pollock and Pollock roe. The festival helped push sales for the participating outlets and Lotus was satisfied with the results. As a result, Lotus expressed their intention to have more promotions in the future.
