On December 19th, 2012, ASMI China held a chef seminar at Grand Hyatt Shanghai. Over 40 chefs from around 30 hotels and restaurants were invited to the event. ASMI gave a detailed introduction on various Alaska seafood products in the training program which enabled the participants to have a better understanding of Alaska seafood. After the speech, a guest-chef invited by ASMI cooked some dishes using Alaska seafood as ingredients including Alaska salmon, Pacific cod, black cod, snow crab, king crab, yellowfin sole and Pollock roe. Every participant had the opportunity to taste Alaska seafood which left them with a deep impression. Very positive feedbacks from attendees were gained after the activity.
