On the evening of August 12, 2011, a fabulous feast for Alaska Seafood Festival Opening Ceremony was held at Shangri-La Dalian Hotel. Government official, seafood traders and local media were invited to be there at Shangri-La Dalian. Director from ATO Shenyang, Mr. James Butterworth and the representatives from ASMI China attended this feast. Some of the media made a full report from the dinner to the seafood festival. When the feasted first started, the dishes made with Alaska seafood already caught the eyes of the guests. They had great discussion of the dishes because of their incredible appearance and delicious taste. Some described the dishes as artwork pieces. From August 12 – 31, 2011, Alaska Seafood Festival was held at all restaurants at Shangri-La Dalian Hotel. Alaska seafood, including pink salmon, Pacific cod, sea cucumber, Dungeness crab and king crab legs all shined together at Shangri-La Dalian Hotel
