Alaska Seafood TV Show in Beijing and Hong Kong—Super Delicacy

In November and December of 2005, the Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute worked with producers from the Beijing TV Station’s program entitled “SHI WUAN SHI MEI” and producers from the Hong Kong Asia TV station’s program entitled “AFTERNOON MOMO TEA” to film television cooking shows. There were two segments recorded in Beijing and 4 in Hong Kong. The programs were broadcast respectively over the Beijing TV Station on December 21 and 28, 2005, and over the Asia TV Station on December 15, 22 and 29, 2005 and January 5 of 2006. Alaska seafood including king crab, snow crab, salmon and black cod were highlighted by teaching audiences how to cook these products. As high rating TV programs, “SHI QUAN SHI MEI” and “AFTERNOON MOMO TEA”, have large audiences and are very popular. The special cooking shows were played during prime time slots. The cooking demonstrations were very family oriented and showed viewers how to prepare Alaska seafood at home.
