ASMI Chef Seminar in Macau

On May 23rd, ASMI China worked with Tourism For Institute Study Macau for the first time, and successfully held the chef seminar in Macau. The event had more than 20 chefs in attendance. The promotional materials were well placed and decorations were useful for educational purposes. ASMI China representatives gave a brief speech and introduced the unique attributes of Alaska seafood and its market to the attendees. Lars Kronmark, a famous chef instructor from the Culinary Institute of America (CIA) was invited to lead the seminar and cooking demonstrations. His exquisite cooking skills won the admiration from the audience, and not only were attendees able to learn certain skills from the master chef, but they too were able to try creating their own Alaska seafood infused dishes. There were many cooking styles used during the event, which all focused on color, aroma and taste. Chef Lars gave high evaluations to the dishes created by the attendees and the chefs in attendance also agreed that the event was an informative and interesting way to learn and understand more about the pure, wild and natural Alaska seafood from a firsthand perspective.
