This year, China International Catering Exposition 2012 was held in Beijing National Convention Center from July 6th to July 8th. The exposition was sponsored by China Cuisine Association and gained great support from the China Ministry of Commerce. CICE worked in conjunction with the 6th China Catering Industry Development Conference. Therefore, a variety of operators from China’s top 100 restaurants attended; members of CCA (China Cuisine Association) and member companies of CCA all attended the exposition. During the 3-day show, different kinds of food products from various countries in the world were displayed and thousands of visitors participated in the exposition.
ATO Beijing organized an American Food Pavilion that included over 20 American food distributors and associations: such as USA Poultry & Egg Export Council, U.S. Meat Export Federation and Clipper Seafoods, Ltd. China Office. Hundreds of American food products were brought to local consumers, for example, American ice cream, snacks, meat, fruits, seafood and so on. ASMI also attended the exposition and worked closely with Sunkist Growers.
This was the first time for the ATO to organize a pavilion for CICE. It was believed that through the exposition, ASMI would have an interactive opportunity with operators from local food service so ASMI could get a full picture of their demands and to strengthen promotional and marketing activities for the future. The exposition would also help to increase the awareness of Alaska seafood products among local Chinese consumers.
