Hundreds of seafood traders throughout China gathered in Dalian to attend the 17th China Fisheries and Seafood Expo (known as the Seafood Expo for short). Therefore, one trader gathering was held in Dalian on the first night of the Seafood Expo, i.e. on Nov 6, 2012 because of the good timing.

Over 200 key seafood traders, mainly from Dalian and Qingdao, as well as from Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou and Hong Kong attended the trader gathering. Before the reception dinner started, one standing cocktail was held at the foyer of the ballroom at New World Hotel. Canapes made with Alaska seafood were served to traders. The cocktail was a good platform for traders to mingle with each other.

At the beginning of the reception dinner, Mr. Sean Stein, Consul General of the US Consulate Shenyang, Mr. Philip Jarrell, Director of ATO Shenyang, and Ms. Alexa Tonkovich, Asia Marketing Coordinator of ASMI, made welcome speech to the guests. Alaska seafood, including sockeye salmon, snow crab, Pacific cod, yellowfin sole, black cod and Pollock roe, was highlighted in the buffet dinner.
At the end of the dinner, ASMI collateral materials were delivered to those who needed them.
