Baked Delicacy-Alaska Seafood Festival Held in Guangzhou Greenery

The Alaska Seafood Marketing Institute held an Alaska seafood festival entitled “Baked Delicacy with Guangzhou Greenery Café” from Oct. 26 to Nov. 26, 2006. This was the second time ASMI cooperated with the Guangzhou Greenery Food & Beverage Franchising Co., Ltd. The company is one of the top 100 enterprises in the Chinese food service industry. The current festival covered 50 Greenery Café outlets aiming to supply pure, wild and natural Alaska seafood to many consumers. The festival boasted 10 special dishes to choose from, all of which included high quality Alaska salmon, cod and halibut. Apart from the wonderful dishes, consumers also received a small gift from ASMI during the festival. A trend for eating healthy Alaska seafood emerged after
this autumn’s Alaska seafood festival.

On Oct. 28, Ms. Joani Dong, Director of ATO Guangzhou was present at the opening ceremony for the Alaska Seafood Festival at the West Ti Yu Road Greenery Café outlet. The venue was decorated with posters, buntings, table tents and banners. A DVD was played to introduce Alaska and its seafood to participants and consumers. The chef also gave demos at the venue which attracted many consumers. Over 10 news agencies from Guangzhou, including the Guangzhou TV Station, reported on the event.
